In All Things, He is God

When people face challenges and difficulties, many questions the wisdom, providence, and sovereignty of God. They doubt if God is all-seeing. For this reason, they become hesitant toward the things of God. Some change their stance to unbelievers. Yet, from the testimony of Scripture, one consistent theme is the Omnipotence of God. Our challenges do not change the nature of God. They do not change the personality of God. When we are troubled, He is God. When we’re merry-making, He is God. One interesting aspect is that only a few doubt the sovereignty of God when they are merry-making. The majority of people doubt Him when they are afflicted. Nonetheless, if we do not face challenges, how do we grow? To become like Him and grow in Him more and more, we must pass through many difficulties. So the challenges you’re going through are for your good. In this way, you can affirm that He is ever-faithful. Do not doubt the purpose of God for your life because you’re going through challenges. It is at this moment you need to affirm that He is God even in your current situation

We must always confess that He is our God in every situation. God is all-seeing and all-knowing, but He is also caring. He cares about you. To this end, Peter mentioned that we should cast our burdens upon Him because He cares for us. Brothers and sisters, we live in an ever-changing world. Yes, we live in an uncertain world. But the only certainty we have is God. Leaders of state, cooperation, and enterprises do fail. In our homes, parents and guardians do fail. Sometimes, their failure plunges us into ruin if care is not taken. We cannot put our confidence in man anymore, for in fact, they are fallible and imperfect. This is why we must put our hope in the One who fails not and who does not disappoint. Though the world can turn against us, He has said, “I will not leave nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). This is the promise He has given to us.

Challenges are temporal. Do not be swayed to evil because of today’s difficulty. Rather, acknowledge the sovereignty of God in your precarious situation. When you do that, you’re reaffirming your faith in Him. You’re telling Him that He has a purpose for your difficulty, and it did not happen by chance but by His guiding staff, He is using the challenges to shape you. Never forget that in all things, He is God!!!
